This is a piece in which 2 mirror surfaces were installed parallel to the walls |
| |
and a clear plastic film was passed through slits made near the centers of |
| |
the mirror surfaces. |
| |
On the mirror surfaces set against each other like temporary walls, the |
| |
interior space and the plastic film are reflected. |
| |
When the viewer stands between the 2 surfaces, he/she is placed in the |
| |
middle of a continuous image on the mirrors. |
| |
By using the effect of the mirrors set against each other in the installation, |
| |
we notice that the images reflect a segment of reality. |
| |
At the same time, however, we see that the virtual image reflects the virtual |
| |
image as they extend on and on, and the images become more and more |
| |
distorted and darker as they extend deeper into the images. |
